Kim’s back again with a short tutorial for quick and easy wire mesh effect fencing. Kim used a construction site flagman’s flag, but you can use any kind of fine plastic mesh. Keep an eye out in garden centres, hardware shops, and even haberdasheries for suitable mesh that looks right for your layouts gauge.
All you have to do is mark out the strip you want with a fine tipped marker. Don’t forget to use a ruler to keep it nice and straight. Next, take a pair of scissors and cut out the section you require.
Paint the mesh the desired colour. In Kim’s case, silver was the colour of choice, but you could opt for green, or any colour you desire. You could even add a little weathering too by dry-brushing on some rust brown and other shades of dark grey / brown to give a more aged effect.
