LED Lighting Strips For Model Buildings | Model Railway Hints, Tips, How To Articles and Reviews at Model Trains Online

Adam from Model Lighting Solutions has sent in details of his latest product aimed at railway and scale modellers. Their new flexible LED lighting strips are designs to make lighting model buildings a breeze. They are currently available in strips of 3 or 5 LEDs and operate on from a 3v to 12v DC supply. The 3 LED sample we’ve been sent to test is the “Warm White” version which gives a more realistic light rather than the standard bright white you get from many LEDs. It measures just 5 cm long and has a self adhesive backing too, making it suitable for illuminating even the smallest of OO scale buildings.

Each strip comes pre-wired to flexible colour coded (black and red) 30cm long cables to make installation quick and simple. We’ll be putting these to test properly next week when we install one in a building to see how it looks.

Prices for the strips starts at just £2.99 for the 3 LED strip. More details can be found on their website here.
