Graffiti is a fact of modern life. Some love it, some hate it, but wherever you go it’s there in some form or another these days. Whether it’s a bit of scribble on a telephone box or a larger, colourful mural on the side of a building or a wall in an urban area, you can’t go many paces these days without stumbling across some. It stands to reason then that the modern image modeller should certainly consider adding graffiti to the odd wall, or piece of rolling stock to add that extra finishing touch.
Until now, the availability of good quality graffiti has been limited for the railway modeller, which just a couple of companies offering somewhat lack lustre sheets of graffiti decals. Model Railway Scenery have however just released two sheets of pre-printed waterslide graffiti decals for the 4mm/OO gauge modeller. One sheet comprises of over 100 simple, single colour graffiti tags to represent quick and simple marker pen & spray can graffiti. The second is a sheet of 15 vibrantly coloured large graffiti murals which are perfect for adding a splash of colour to a bridge, tunnel, building or even hopper wagons and more.
Both sheets are supplied pre-printed at 600dpi onto high-quality waterslide decal paper. The Graffiti Tags are supplied on clear decal paper allowing them to be used on any colour base (brick wall, steel wagon side etc). The larger murals are supplied on white decal paper to ensure bright, vivid colours on all backgrounds.
The decals can be used on pretty much any base material including plastic & resin buildings and even on card if you seal the surface first with lacquer to prevent the water affecting the card when the transfers are applied.
Each sheet is priced at just £4.49 plus minimal P&P, and they have more sets in the pipeline too.
