Brian's Model Cattle Pond | Model Railway Hints, Tips, How To Articles and Reviews at Model Trains Online

After the video I posted last week, showing how to make a pond for your layout, Brian sent this photo and description in showing the cattle pond he created for his layout, all the way from down in Johannesburg! It sounds really simple to do too! Here’s Brian to tell us how he did it…

“I thought that you might like a photo of the pond on my layout.   It is built up on an MDF base painted brown etc and covered with a thick layer of gloss polyurethane varnish.   The surrounds and sloping meadow are built up of corrugated cardboard profiles covered with strips of cereal box and finished with egg box papier mache and dyed sawdust.   Total cost nil!”

It certainly does look great Brian. Very nice work!
